System requirements: LM-DIG installed in Aurora(n) with Firmware 1.34 or higher
This firmware can be updated using either the LynxFirmware application (using the “Download – Mac” or “Download – Windows” buttons above) while the Aurora(n) connected to your computer (USB, Thunderbolt or Dante) or with the microSD card.
The Non-OS specific file (the “Download” button above) is for updating using the microSD card on the Aurora(n). The Aurora(n) must have Firmware 1.34 or above for this update to work.
To update using a microSD card:
1. Format your microSD card on your computer with this formatter: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/
2. Download and extract firmware file. Copy LMDIG0300NC.bin file to the microSD card
3. Put microSD card into Aurora(n)
4. Press FUNCTION and navigate to the “Firmware Update” SD Card menu
5. Press SELECT on the LMDIG0300NC file to start the update process
6. When complete, turn off the Aurora(n) with the front panel switch

October 27, 2025 Firmware 3.0
- Aurora(n) Firmware 1.34 or higher is required to use LM-DIG Firmware 3.0.
- Fixes input delay issue for AES and DB-ADAT S/PDIF optical: The delay could have varied between 38 and 127 samples. It is now reduced to 2 samples and can vary by 1 sample. AES or S/PDIF In to Out delay is now 12 or 13 samples depending on the phase of the external device’s frame sync.
- Detects S/MUX bit for ADAT input signals. If ADAT User bit 2 is set it indicates that the incoming ADAT data is running at a 2X rate. If ADAT is set as the clock source, Aurora(n) will change to a 2X rate if S/MUX is detected, otherwise the user can manually select a 1X, 2X, or 4X rate.
