System requirements: Windows 10, 11 or macOS 10.14 (Mojave) - macOS 26 (Tahoe)

Please follow the instructions in Section 5 of the Mesa User Manual for updating the firmware.

The Non-OS specific file (the “Download” button above) is for updating using the microSD card.  On macOS, if you use the built-in Archive Utility application to open the MESAxxxxx.zip file for programming from an SD card, after opening the .ZIP file the Archive Utility will then try to open the .BIN file.  This will give an error message that the file could not be opened because it is an unsupported format.  It is safe to ignore this error message.  You may then simply transfer the .BIN file on to the SD card as described in Section 5 of the Mesa User Manual.

Lynx recommends doing a Restore Defaults after a firmware update. Menu > Settings > Restore Defaults > OK.  Please note this will reset all values to factory defaults except the monitor out volume.

• Fixes input delay issue for S/PDIF coax and optical: The delay could vary between 38 and 127 samples. It is now reduced to 2 samples and can vary by 1 sample. S/PDIF In to Out delay is now 4 or 5 samples depending on the phase of the external device’s frame sync.
• Detects S/MUX bit for ADAT input signals. If ADAT User bit 2 is set it indicates that the incoming ADAT data is running at a 2X rate. If ADAT is set as the clock source, Mesa will change to a 2X rate if S/MUX is detected, otherwise the user can manually select a 1X or 2X rate.
• Sets S/MUX bit for ADAT output signals.
• Setting a control on the Preamp page now sets the “Scene Dirty” flag which will cause the startup scene to saved to internal storage when going back to a meter page.
