Jim Anderson, Producer/Engineer

"The Cole Porter Mix" marked the first time I'd used the Aurora converters. When I first put up the tracks for mixing, I felt I wasn't hearing the same old digital sound. There was a character and quality to the sound that fit our project like a glove. There's a warmth and naturalness to the sound that's perfect for the recording.

"All of Patricia's recordings have been audiophile quality and this one is one of our best, thanks to the Aurora. Patricia's recording was tracked at CRC in Chicago and mixed at Brooklyn Recording, in Brooklyn. I used ProTools at 24/96 for recording, but didn't mix in the box. I used the Brooklyn Recording Neve 8068 for the mix with the Aurora converters.

"I'm certain the Auroras played a huge part in the quality of the album's sound. The album has received a rave review from Thomas Conrad in the September Stereophile Magazine:" "The Cole Porter Mix was recorded and mixed by Jim Anderson. The clean exactitude with which Barber's voice is conveyed is what allows her to render these songs with such intimate clarity."
