I understand that Paul. I guess I was just hoping by now it would be close to
something new :-).....
I for one, will wait for it.. still a strong believer in lynx, for the quality, the
stability and to top it all at the price.

No, not a solution for me, I have a PC, this is for Mac. Also appears to be "optimized" for Logic? Something else I can't use(And have no desire too use - traitors.).
Does the thing have any converters of it's own? Actually, from the Apogee web site, it seems to want outboard Apogee converters(Gee, really?) and "another" card of some sort, to make a "system"? This would be a fairly pricey option, at best, from what little I can gather... I wonder what the "interface" is - the cables/format, etc? XLR/AES? 1/4" TRS? 1/8" mini plug? Impossible for me to read much info on the Apogee site as much of the print is "dark brown" on a black background..? Yes, I could use a new monitor...
Do you actually have one of these things, Peter, and know much about it, or are you just dialing around the web looking for trouble?(Keep that VP up to date!)
TG
Yes, Bill Gates is sending me nasty notes, too(He's made no money from me in years and he is P - O - 'd...), as I continue to dream of a usable PCI-X version of a Lynx card.

Right - the Symphony is a completely Apogee only/Mac only solution.

I continue to dream of a usable PCI-X version of a Lynx card. |
Just a point of clarification, our LynxTWO/L22/AES16 cards all works just fine with PCI/X slots, but they will not work with PCIe (PCI Express) slots.

but the PCI-E is what has been needed.
that what every one has been asking for for the past year.
i get the impression, ( and i hope i am wrong, truly i do ) the Lynx
management has take a '' we will so apple '' approach and apple dose not
care.
it is your customers that are holding out for and crying out we need,
ultimately the customer here is who looses.

If you (Lynx stuff) are thinking to a new PCIe AES-SRC card, please check this chip from Texas Instruments. http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/src4392.html?DCM P=hpa_app_audio&HQS=NotApplicable+OT+sc06220 Cheers, Stefano Cappelli

I'm looking to upgrade my desktop and am wondering what sort of slot I can put my nearly 4 yr/old (but working great!) Lynx L22 into. For instance, one system I'm looking at has an extra "PCI 32bit/33Mhz slot" and also 2 "PCI-X 64bit/100MHz slots with support for 3.3v or universal cards." Will it only work in the PCI slot or also in the PCI-X slot?

It should work in any of those slots.

I haven't been asking for one and I suspect a ton of others haven't been either. I do hope that those who need it can get one soon but I'll have no need for one in the next few years.

Will there be a trade in allowance for us loyal Lynx customers who already
have a Lynx PCI card but need to trade up for the PCIe Lynx card?
I have an L22 on my old G4, but I intend to buy a dual quad mac the day
they're announced. I've been waiting years for this.
I'd hate to be without a Lynx card for too long (assuming the UB driver isn't
far behind).
Just curious...(just tryin' to save a buck, or six hundred). :D

I bought the dual Quad today.
No news on the L22 so I guess I'll get rid of it.
