I am confused about something. I have a Lynx2 C. I am recording guitar by mic'ing a cabinet and running it through a Great River 1NV. The preamp shows very strong input and output level (sometimes in the red). But the input on the Lynx is lower than I would expect. I have to change the input trim to -10 just to get a reasonable signal level. That doesn't make sense. I though +4 was the desired setting when using pro equipment. But I just can't get good signal levels with +4.

Any help is appreciated!

thanks,

brian

Brian,

Have a tried a std line level device into the same inputs, like a synth or CD player? Are they showing robust levels?

What is the output level of the pre-amp in the +4 position?

Best Regards,
