Hi,
quicktime pro 6.5 allowed me to change the sound outputs irrespective of
the outputs choosen in the control panel of XP.
QuickTime 7 takes you straight to the control panel...and so there is a loss
in flexibility of choosen outputs.

Is this something that apple needs to correct or is there something that the
next wdm can change?

Richard,

This is a QuickTime issue. It's odd that with QT7, there is now multi-channel support but no ability to hand-pick driver devices. Hopefully this will all be remedied in a future update.
