Hi,

I have installed a LT Adat card in my aurora 16 VT. The firmware is 24. I use it with a Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56. I send my audio signal in my aurora via the lightpipe connection between my Saffire and my Aurora. I also use a 48khz samplerate with aurora as a master clock. The clock is transmitted by word clock cable at the Focusrite.

The aurora works fine from LSSLOT IN to ANALOG OUTS, but at the return, I have a modulation on the analog inputs (the analog metering input confirms it) and then i have no transmission in adat out via DIGITAL OUTS (no modulation on digital meter).

I have this routing on aurora : LSSLOT IN > TO ANALOG OUT
ANALOG IN > TO DIGITAL OUT

Please help me ! Thanks for all ! (and sorry for my bad english, i'm a french user...)

And I have already tried :

- I have switched the master clock on Focusrite.
- I have changed adat cables and wordclock cable.
- I have tried to sync aurora and saffire by adat.
- Reset factory....
- I check the connection between the LT ADAT and the mainboard of the Aurora.

The LT ADAT green led is ok.

I haven't no other soundcard for an other test. But in my opinion, the problem is in the Aurora, maybe the LT ADAT is damaged.

Any idea ? Thanks.

Let's try testing the LT-ADAT independently of the FocusRite. Follow these steps:
* Connect a signal source to Analog In 1/2 on the Aurora.
* Connect a monitoring device (speakers/headphone amp) to Analog Out 1/2
* connect an optical cable from LT-ADAT Out 1 directly to In 1 (a loop)
* On the Aurora front panel, set the TO ANALOG OUT button to "Analog In"
* Pass signal to Analog In 1/2. Do you hear the sound through the outputs? If not, let me know.
* If you do, now change the source for TO ANALOG OUT to "LSLOT In".
* Sending signal to Analog In i/2, do you hear it through the outputs? Do you also hear the distortion that you described?

Hi Paul,

ANALOG IN to ANALOG OUT : Sounds very good.

LSLOT IN to ANALOG OUT : Big clicking and popping from channel 1 to 8.

OK - and if that is consistent even with different optical cables then it sounds like that card needs to come to our shop to get looked at. Send an email to support@lynxstudio.com, referencing this thread, and include your name, address, phone number, and LT-ADAT serial number. Thanks.

Hi Paul,

It's consistent because i have already checked with an other cable. And the problem is the same when i test adat 2, click and pop from 9 to 16.

I contact the support.

Thanks for all.
