Here is a photo of two AES16e cards inside the Magma ExpressBox 3T. Also working just fine with the Mac Book Pro and Build 53 driver.

Here is a photo of the AES16e inside the Sonnet Tech Echo Express PCI Express to Thunderbolt chassis while connected to a 17" Mac Book Pro with Thunderbolt. You can see on the screen the Lynx Mixer and the About This Mac showing the Thunderbolt connection to the AES16e.
This solution works very well. |

Lynx Studio Technology is proud to announce the availability of the Lynx CoreAudio Driver Build 53 for OS X. The driver may be downloaded from Lynx_OSX_53.zip.
Installation Notes
Starting with OS X 10.7, the Preferences folder is now marked as Read-Only by default. This prevents Lynx Mixer from saving the last known scene so that upon restarting the computer it can be restored. To fix this, you must manually change /Library/Preferences to allow Read-Write to everyone. Revision History Version 1.0 Build 53 March 13, 2012 1. Added full support for Thunderbolt expansion chassis. Implements hot-plugging and unplugging as well as sleep mode. Please note that Thunderbolt expansion chassis with the Lynx Audio Card must be connected and enabled when powering on the Macintosh otherwise the boot-loader will not allocate resources for the device and the driver will not be able to load. 2. Defaulted "Allow Clock Source Change while Active" to TRUE. Previously this control might get set to FALSE when doing a Restore Defaults, which would keep some applications from being able to change the sample rate until the streaming was stopped. |
