Is this driver coming out of beta status soon?

Hi,

I think I've run into a problem with the driver.  Having never tried a sample rate above 96kHz I don't know if it is new or not.

In SONAR X1 and Vegas Pro 10 the project output can only be routed to Play 01+02 and that output can only be heard on the output chosen by the host.

Host Output: 3/4
Expected: Play 03+04 can be routed to any of the Lynx outputs
Actual: You can only hear the signal if Digital out 2L/R have Play 01+02 enabled.  You can only hear the signal on this output channel

Changing the host output to 5/6 results in output routing to Digital Out 3L/R if Play 01+02 are enabled on that channel.

Steven,

That is actually a known problem with the firmware on the AES16e.  See this thread for details.

AB77, we are hoping to have another beta out either tomorrow or early next week.  Still wrapping up the details.
Thank you,

Steven, you should also download Sonar X1a patch, as it fixes some anomalies in X1...

If you have SONAR X1, there is no issue.  Only if you install the X1a update is there a problem.  If you have already installed the X1a update, there is a hotfix that solves the problem.  Here is the link to the X1a hotfix.

Thanks, Mike.  Didn't we all have to install it as soon as it came out due to that issue where we weren't able to see any of our Lynx ports?

Hi Steven,

David made a correction to my post...

So I guess the Sonar X1a Hotfix can be called Soanr X1a-2.....?   Wink

Hi,

with the new versions of the driver, I am encountering the following problem : wasapi does not work on foobar (it returns an error message), while it does work on other softwares such as MPC-HC... The previous versions of the driver did work with foobar under wasapi, now I have to go ASIO or Directsound. Is that a known problem ?

Just wanted to make you guys aware of an annoyance that has been in the last few driver updates.  Whenever I boot and then open the Lynx mixer, outputs 1&2 are at -24 while all other outputs are wherever they were on last shutdown (usually lower than (-24).  I have a subwoofer connected to output #3 so this means if I forget to check, I'll get a blast of highs in my face.

I notice this does NOT happen on my WindowsXP 32bit partition, only on my Windows7 64bit (which I need for Pro Tools 9).

Anyone else experiencing this?

That is probably because of the Topology driver (Windows Sound) setting the volume by itself.  You can always disable the topology driver with CleanReg.

Hi,

I am getting intermitent BSOD in the Lynx driver.  Running on the latest release of the driver, 64 bit Windows 7 SP1.  Not sure what triggers the problem.  I am using the windows drivers, mostly from iTunes.  I have a minidump, which I suppose will help.
